reCAPTCHA protects you against spam and other types of automated abuse. Here, we explain how to addreCAPTCHA to your site or application.

Mar 03, 2020  If you need to assess a subsequent action that the user takes on your site, or if a token expires before an assessment can be created, you will need to call grecaptcha.enterprise.execute again to generate a new token. Create an assessment using the projects.assessments.create. As the technologies work quite differently, v2 and v3 keys are not compatible. That is to say that a site running a v3 key cannot be used with recaptcha v2 since the same Google reCAPTCHA endpoint is used for both generations of the anti-spam technology. Below we’ll go over how you can generate your reCAPTCHA keys. To start using reCAPTCHA, you need to sign up for an API key pair for your site. The key pair consists of a site key and secret key. The site key is used to invoke reCAPTCHA service on your site or mobile application. The secret key authorizes communication between your application backend and the reCAPTCHA server to verify the user's response. The secret key needs to be kept safe for security purposes.

Audience

Automatically render the reCAPTCHA widget. The easiest method for rendering the reCAPTCHA widget on your page is to include the necessary JavaScript resource and a g-recaptcha tag. The g-recaptcha tag is a DIV element with class name 'g-recaptcha' and your site key in the data-sitekey attribute. To create your application's API key: Go to the API Console. From the projects list, select a project or create a new one. If the APIs & services page isn't already open, open the left side menu.

Jan 29, 2013 When setting up web forms in Content Management Systems like Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, Moodle, and others, you will need to have 2 keys created for your reCAPTCHA to work. ReCAPTCHA requires a public and a private key in order for the code to function in your web forms. These are free to get from Google if you have a Gmail account.

This documentation is designed for people familiar with HTML forms, server-side processing or mobileapplication development. To install reCAPTCHA, you will probably need to edit some code.

We hope you find this documentation easy to follow. Make sure to join the reCAPTCHA developerforum to give feedback and discuss the API.

Automatically render the reCAPTCHA widget

The easiest method for rendering the reCAPTCHA widget on your page is to includethe necessary JavaScript resource and a g-recaptcha tag. The g-recaptcha tagis a DIV element with class name g-recaptcha and your site key in thedata-sitekey attribute:

The script must be loaded using the HTTPS protocol and can be included from anypoint on the page without restriction.

Explicitly render the reCAPTCHA widget

Deferring the render can be achieved by specifying your onload callback functionand adding parameters to the JavaScript resource.

  1. Specify your onload callback function. This function will get called whenall the dependencies have loaded.

  2. Insert the JavaScript resource, setting the onload parameter to the nameof your onload callback function and the render parameter to explicit.

When your callback is executed, you can call the grecaptcha.render methodfrom the JavaScript API.

Your onload callback function must bedefined before the reCAPTCHA API loads. To ensure there are no raceconditions:
    • Order your scripts with the callback first, and then reCAPTCHA
    • Use the async and defer parameters in the `script` tags
